Cam is sitting up on his own now! He is 5 1/2 months old, loves to eat baby food 3x/day, and has recently decided he hates laying back reclined especially now, that he has figured out sitting up on his own. He's such a sweet, fun baby! We are blessed! I'm excited to use his 'shopping cart/highchair cover' and not lug him around in his car seat anymore. That thing (plus him inside) is heavy!!

"I'm 5 months old and found my feet"
I cannot believe it has been 5 months since we were looking in the eyes of our newborn son, for the first time. Cam's personality is cheerful, happy, and always willing to giggle uncontrollably when tickling him on his tummy, under his arms, his thigh creases and feet. He's one ticklish child. It's the cutest thing to watch him laugh and giggle. His big grin is one of the best!
Here's a video of him at 19wk giggling when he's being tickled. :)

(here's the link on vimeo and below is me trying to upload it to here......I only see where you can upload from desktop or YouTube, so Jen/Jason-how do you upload from vimeo!?)
He amazes me by the depth of new knowledge he has gained over the months. To watch his eager eyes wander when he hears the water running, or a new noise that interests him. He also grins when I blow him kisses from the kitchen. He's been eating rice cereal for a few weeks now and we just recently added carrots. He is a good eater, so far!
Here's a pic at 21 weeks of his first carrot experience:
The latest, and greatest, task is him finding his feet. He will grab hold and try his best to get them to his mouth. Poor chubby boy has a hard time getting them in his mouth, but somehow he manages. Hehe
Since 4mo, he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. It's almost ridiculous the way he will grab at something, just to get it in his mouth. I thought maybe he was teething, but no, it's just the typical 4mo old slobber jaws!!
An update about me:
I'm on my third week of my Peds rotation. Week 1 went by, then the sickness started. Week 2 was a week of being sick, and finally week 3, my immune system has kicked in gear. Bring on the strep, flu, & Pneumonia that have been a hot topic here. I actually enjoy working with pediatric patients, but again, I've not had that "ah-ha" moment where I KNOW that's where I am meant to work. Maybe I will just be very versatile and be able to work anywhere and enjoy it!
Family Update:
My rotation in March is in Louisville and they will all be in Louisville until graduation in August. So, since Shannon has been commuting to Louisville since 2008, the time has come for us to "for real" move. I've denied it, pretended it was not happening and refused to accept it until now. March is JUST AROUND the corner and we haven't listed our house, we are still on the waiting list, since Feb '11, for the daycare we want Cam and we're on one income. We've debating buying vs renting a house. The interest rates are great right now, to buy, but the chance that our house in Lex will sell by March, is very unlikely. Therefore, we've decided to rent for the first year. I hate moving. I hate packing. I hate unpacking. I do like new things though. So the thought of moving TWICE in the next 1-1.5yr makes me ill. I would rather donate everything and buy all new that will be delivered, than have to pack and unpack multiple times. I'm dreading it!!
